උතුරු ප්‍රදේශයේ ඉන්දීය ට්‍රෝලර් ආක්‍රමණය හා එහි යථා තත්ත්වය සොයා බැලීම,Monitoring the existing invasion situation of Indian trawlers in the North – 2021.10.08
ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ සාමය හා තිරසාර සංවර්ධනය සඳහා වු ජනතා අතර සංවාදයේ වැඩසටහන් සම්බන්ධිකාරක ඇන්තනී ජේසුදාසන් මහතා සහ ධීවරයින් පිරිසක් 2021 ඔක්තෝම්බර් 08 වන දින උතුරේ වඩමරාච්චි නැගෙනහිර ප්‍රදේශයේ සංචාරයක නියැළිණ.
එහිදි විශේෂයෙන් ඉන්දීය ධීවරයින් ශ්‍රී ලංකා මුහුදු තීරයට අනවසරයෙන් පැමිණ ධීවර කටයුතුවල නිරතවී මඑම ප්‍රදේශයේ ධීවරයින් මුහුණ දෙන ප්‍රබල ගැටලුවක් බව සඳහන් කෙරෙණි. විශේෂයෙන් ඉන්දීය ට්‍රෝලර් යාත්‍රා උතුරු පළාත් වෙරළාසන්න ප්‍රදේශවලට පැමිණ තහනම් ආම්පන්න භාවිත කරමින් ධීවර කර්මාන්තය කිරීම තුළ උතුරේ ධීවරයින්ගේ සම්පත් මෙන්ම ධීවරයින්ගේ උපකරණ විනාශ කිරීම මෙම ගැටලුවේ සැබැ තත්ත්වයයි.
මෙම තොරතුරු ගවේෂණය සඳහා උතුරු පළාත් ධිවරයින්ගේ එකතුවේ සභාපති එන්.වී.සුබ්‍රමනියම් මහතා ද යාපනය දිස්ත්‍රික් ධිවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ සභාපති මුරලිදරන් මහතා උතුරු පළාත් වැඩසටහන් සම්බන්ධිකරණයේ නියැලෙන තඩ්සා තවසෙල්වම් මෙනවිය ද චිත්‍රා වැනි අය සහභාගි වූහ.
විශේෂයෙන් මෙම ගැටලුව පිළිබඳව ගම්මාන තුනක ධිවරයින් සමඟ සාකච්ඡා කරමින් මෙම ගැටලුවට සමාගාමීව ඔවුන් මුහුණ දෙන ගැටලු පිළිබඳව ඉතාම සෘජු සාකච්ඡාවව් සිදුකළ අතර විශේෂයෙන් උතුරු ප්‍රදේශයේ මේ වන විට ට්‍රෝලර් යාත්‍රා මීටර් 200 පමණ දුරකට පැමිණ ධීවර කටයුතු කරන නිසා උතුරේ විශේෂත්‍යන් වඩමරාච්චි ප්‍රදේශවල ධීවරයින් විශාල පීඩාවකට ලක් වී ඇත.
ඉතා වටිනා ධීවර සම්පත් මේ නිසා විනාශයට පත් ව ඇති බවත් පසුගිය සතියේ ධීවරයින් විශාල පිරිසකගේ දැල් කපාගෙන ගොස් තිබෙන බව ඔවුන් සඳහන් කර ඇත. මේ ප්‍රශ්නය කඩිනමින් විසඳීමට රජය මැදිහත් විය යුතු බව මෙම ධීවරයින් මෙන්ම ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ ද අදහස යි.

in Wadamarachchi East in Jaffna on 8 October, 2021
It further realized that invasion of the Indian Trawlers into the
Sri Lankan water illegally and grab the fisheries resources is one of the burning issues of the
fishers in the area. The Indian Trawlers
brake into the Sri Lankan territory even very close to the land and grab
fisheries resources by using illegal and harmful fishing gears. They not only
grab the resources in the sea but also Indian fisherman destroy or damage the
fisheries equipments such as net, boats , engines and other equipments of the
Sri Lankan fisherman.

The monitoring team visited three villages and discussed with the
fishers to identify the other issues they face in the fisheries industry except
Indian trawler issue. People said that Indian trawlers reach to around 200 Meters
from the shore. Wadamarachchi people face a huge pressure due to Indian
trawlers.
Fisherman said that Indian trawlers destroy our resource illegally
and nets of many Sri Lankan fishermen have been damaged and brought by the
Indian fishermen last week. Government should initiate to find the solutions
for this issues said by the fisherman as well as National Fisheries Solidarity
Movement also wishes Government involve finding the proper solution.
