International Fisheries Day celebrations

All requirements are prepared for the International Fisheries Day
celebrations organized by the National Fisheries Solidarity Movement –Sri
Lanka.

All 15 districts belonging to the National Fisheries Solidarity
Movement are currently preparing for the International Fisheries Day
celebrations tomorrow (21st November). 
Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, the program is planned to be held in
two sections.

District meetings are held in groups of about 30 people and the
national meeting is held online with the participation of all districts.
Proposals to the National Fisheries Policy on the Inland Reservoir Fisheries,
Industry, and Economic problems faced by women fishermen today, Problems
arising from the National Physical Plan and problems arising from the blue
economy are some of the topics that will be discussed here.
