Laksiri Fernando, the National Coordinator of YMESOC said, “We are humbly proud as we are growing not only in numbers and districts, but also we are becoming more conscious, committed and capable Youth leaders in our society. With the newly connected two district members, we have now 1750 members who are active in our movement. We expect our team will grow further with the right perspectives on development, ethnic and religious crises in our society. We want them to learn on food sovereignty, climate justice and gender Justice and more. All these matters are our main concerns of NAFSO Sri Lanka.”
Our message today is that “we, the youth are responsible citizens and we come forward to protect our environment and destruction of our aquatic eco systems due to plastic pollution of water bodies, and deforestation.” added Laksiri at the media briefing.
