Kurunagala District, Ponnilawa Women Meeting

Sansadaya conducted a meeting of the women group of Ponnilawa in Polpithigama
on 11 of November 2020. This is a women group from the farming communities in
the area. This meeting was used to educate the women in relation to land rights
of the women as well as it discussed the situation of the fund availability and
providing loan for the women members of the group. It discussed the process of
developing the home gardens under the youth program as well as Mr.Suranaga
Dayawansha, Psychological Counselor advised the women group to release the
stress if there is any due to the Pandemic situation.  According to the Pandemic, most of people
especially women in the family are living under the stress. It was very
important of the participation of Psychological Counselor in the meeting. There
were 12 women participants in the meeting. Mr.Sanjeewa Sampath, Animator of the
organization facilitated the meeting.
