Awareness program on Drafted Fisheries act of 2023 – Ampara
2023,12,16 ம் திகதி அம்பாறை மாவட்ட மீனவ பேரவை அமைப்பின் ஏற்பாட்டில் தகவல் அறியும் சட்டம்,புதிய மீனவ சட்டம்,நாட்டின் சமூக அபிவிருத்தின் தாக்கம் தொடர்பாக வளவாளராக திருமதி:- A.தாட்சாயினி சட்டத்தரணி அவர்களுடன் மாவட்ட அரசாசர்பட்ட நிறுவணத்தின் இணைப்பாளர் திரு :- இர்பான் sir மாவட்ட இனைப்பாளர் மற்றும் இளைஞர் ,யுவதிகள் ,பெண்கள் மீனவ தலைவர்கள் கலந்து சிறப்பித்தார்கள்.
DIFSO – Ampara team lead by Kalanthar Issadeen Issadeen and Kannan Andrew conducted an awareness program on Drafted
Fisheries act of 2023 on 16th December.The Youth Movement for Environmental and Social Change
leader expressed his concern that these acts can bring foreign investment here
in our waters which will take away our resources for their profits.Our fishing communities will lose their fishing
grounds hence lose their livelihoods if companies come to our waters. Said
Kannan Andrew, the activist of DIFSO.The participants agreed that they totally object
the new fisheries act which is harmful to fishing communities and the
aquatic eco system.
