Northern Province Fisheries General Council Meeting | උතුරු පළාත් ධීවර මහ සභා රැස්වීම

A new Board of Directors has been selected for the Northern Province Fisheries Network. Mr. Joseph Francis, District Fisheries Representative of Kilinochchi district is the Chairman.   Muhammad Alam, Fisheries Representative of Mannar District as Secretary. Mrs. Priya of Jaffna was also elected treasurer...

Mr. Thanikasalam, Representative of Mullaitivu District and Mrs. Rita Vasanthi, Deputy Secretary of Mannar District were elected as District Presidents. 

For this, the Jaffna district  Mr. Muralidharan, Mr. Amaladas of Mannar District have been elected as media spokesman and 16 members including Mr. Anrani Shankar, Mr. Mullaitivu A. Nanthanalingam and Mr. Annalingam Annarasa have been elected as committee members.

56 representatives from the districts of Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Mannar participated in this event representing the Northern Province and Mr. Kalanithi Soosaidasan participated as the chief guest and the participation of Mr. Herman Kumara, the National convener of the National Fisheries Solidarity Movement. 

Furthermore, Kilinochchi Fisheries Cooperative Society felicitated scholars, leaders from the fishing communities.Retired Prof. S. Soosaiananthan of University of Jaffna, A. Rajachandran of Gurunagar, A. Annarasa of Jaffna, S.Sankar of Mannar were among the felicitated leaders.

උතුරු පළාත් ධීවර ජාලය සඳහා නව අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩලයක් තෝරා පත්කර ගෙන ඇත.

මෙහි සභාපතිවරයා ලෙස කිලිනොච්චි දිස්ත්‍රික් ධීවර නියෝජිත ජෝශප් ෆ්‍රැන්සිස් මහතා කටයුතු කරයි.  

ලේකම් ලෙස මන්නාරම දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ ධීවර නියෝජිත මුහම්මද් අලාම් මහතා ද 

යාපනයේ ප්‍රියා මහත්මිය භාණ්ඩාගාරික ලෙසද තේරී පත්වූවාය.

මුලතිව් දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ නියෝජිත තනිකාසලම්  මහතා සහ මන්නාරම දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ නියෝජ්‍ය ලේකම් රීටා වසන්ති මහත්මිය දිස්ත්‍රික් සභාපතිවරුන් ලෙස තේරී පත්විය. 

මේ සඳහා යාපනය දිස්ත්‍රික්කයෙන් ඊ.  මුරලිදරන් මහතා, මන්නාරම දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ අමලදාස් මහතා මාධ්‍ය ප්‍රකාශක ලෙස ද, අන්රානි ශංකර් මහතා, මුලතිව් ඒ නටනලිංගම් සහ අන්නාලිංගම් අන්නාරාසා මහතා ඇතුළු 16 දෙනෙකු කාරක සභිකයන් ලෙස තෝරාපත් කරගෙන ඇත.

උතුරු පළාත නියෝජනය කරමින් යාපනය, කිලිනොච්චි, මුලතිව්, මන්නාරම යන

දිස්ත්‍රික්කවලින් නියෝජිතයින් 56 දෙනෙකු මේ සඳහා සහභාගී වූඅතර ප්‍රධාන ආරාධිත අමුත්තා ලෙස කලනිති සූසයිදාසන් මහතා සහභාගී වූ අතර ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ ජාතික සංවිධායක හර්මන් කුමාර මහතාගේ සහභාගීත්වය මෙය තවත් උත්කර්ෂවත් විය.

මේ අතර, කිලිනොච්චිය ධීවර සමුපකාර සමිතිය විසින් ධීවර ප්‍රජාව නියෝජනය කරන  විද්වතුන් හා  නායකයින් හට උපහාර දැක්වීය. යාපනය විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ විශ්‍රාමික මහාචාර්ය එස්. සූසයානන්තන්, ගුරුනගර්හි ඒ. රාජචන්ද්‍රන්, යාපනයේ ඒ. අන්නාරාසා, මන්නාරමේ එස්. සංකර් යන මහත්වරු මෙලෙස උපහාර ලද නායකයින් අතර වූහ. 

පූනගරි ධීවර සමුපකාර සමිතියේ සභාපති ෆ්‍රැන්සිස් ජෝශප් මහතා පැවසුවේ "ධීවර ප්‍රජාව වෙනුවෙන් කැප වූ නායකයින්ට නිසි ගෞරවය ලබාදීම අපේ යුතුකමක්. ධීවර ප්‍රශ්නවලදී අපි එකමුතු වෙලා  වැඩ කරනවා සේ ම  අපි අපේ යුතුකම් ද ඉටුකරනවා" යනුවෙනි...

Trincomalee people forum  meeting conducted (24/08/24) in town hall at Trincomalee. Civil society leaders, Group leaders, Media people, Women Leaders, Youth leaders and businessmen participated the meeting. Main focus of the meeting.

#-Review the road map of people forum .

#-Develop the future actions

#- Discussed the Policy brief of Trincomalle development plan.

#-Shared the documents and educated basic knowledge of RTI.

ASI convener Samantha Abewickrama and Praja Abhilasha Network  Coordinator  Facilitated the meeting. Chairperson Nishaka organized the meeting. Finally  the Policy brief was handed over to the Chairperson.

NAFSO guides Kurunegala Youth |කුරුණෑගල තරුණ සමාජයට නැෆ්සෝ මගපෙන්වයි...

"Praja Sahayogitha Forum-Kurunegala is guiding the Children of Mother Earth Youth Society in creating a booklet  that captures the hidden ancient and historical treasures  of the Kurunegala District. Their team visited sites like Haththikuchchi Wiharaya, Ras Wehera, and the Rajanganaya Water Tank to gather valuable information. This initiative is supported by Mr. Ajitha Rupasinghe, Sanjeewa Sampath , and  Dinitha Nidushan  along with the guidance of M Nalaka Rosairo, Policy Studies Coordinator and Senior Project Manager from NAFSO Sri Lanka...

The newly initiated TIDES - CS Fund supported  Program held on 17-19 August, with the participation of 5 Northern districts of Mannar, Jaffna, Kilinochchichi, Mullaitivu and Vavunia at NAFSO Sri Lanka auditorium with the participation of 25 activists, Women, Youth and fishers.

It was discussed the policies, programs, financial system by Pradeep Wanigasuriya, Admin Secretary; Lawrance Shanthikumar, Accountant; Gayan Ambegoda, Coordinator, 'People to People Dialogue; Pradeep Laksiri, Coordinator Youth Movement for Environmental and Social Change; Suba Shini National Women Coordinator; and Herman Kumara Wijethunge, convener of NAFSO Sri Lanka.

Suba Shini, the national women coordinator expressed her concern to implement the program with the deep commitment and collaboration with community leadership. "We hope, our leaders take the initiative to implement the program and need to own by them. The empowerment of community is not the duty of outside people. But, community need to take the lead to motivate the fellow members. What we can do is to facilitate the process. Unless people take necessary steps to empower vulnerable groups bring forward, we can not do anything from outside."

The people who attended the program said, "This was very important many ways. We learned the financial system of the organization, how the organization engage to ensure rights of vulnerable groups, important policies which govern the organization and root causes of poverty." We learned the power structures which govern the country and exploit resources and violate people's rights. And we realized why we need to unite poor and vulnerable people towards their liberation. We need to fight for rights as oppressed people, and irrespective of ethnic, religious, language diversity.

මෙහිදී, ජාතික කාන්තා සම්බන්ධීකාරක සුභාෂිනි දීපා මහත්මිය ප්‍රජා නායකත්වය
සමඟ ගැඹුරු කැපවීමකින් සහ සහයෝගයෙන් වැඩසටහන ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට තමන් තුල ඇති  අවශ්‍යතාවය පිළිබඳ ප්‍රකාශ කලාය. ඇය කියාසිටියේ "අපි බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා, අපේ නායකයින් එම වැඩසටහන ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට මූලිකත්වය ගෙන කටයුතු කල යුතුයි කියා.  ප්‍රජාව සවිබල ගැන්වීම බාහිර පුද්ගලයන්ගේ යුතුකමක් නොවේ. සෙසු සාමාජිකයන් දිරිමත් කිරීමට ප්‍රජාව පෙරමුණ ගතයුතුයි. අපට කළ හැක්කේ ක්‍රියාවලියට පහසුකම් සැලසීමයි. අවදානමට ලක්විය හැකි කණ්ඩායම් ඉදිරියට ගෙන ඒම සඳහා ජනතාව අවශ්‍ය පියවර නොගන්නේ නම්, අපට පිටතින් කිසිවක් කළ නොහැක" යනුවෙනි.

මෙයට සහභාගී වූවන් පැවසුවේ, "මෙය බොහෝ ආකාරවලින් ඉතා වැදගත් වැඩසටනක් වූ බවයි. සංවිධානයේ මූල්‍ය පද්ධතිය, අවදානමට ලක්විය හැකි කණ්ඩායම්වල අයිතිවාසිකම් සහතික කිරීම සඳහා සම්බන්ධ වන ආකාරය, සංවිධානය පාලනය කරන වැදගත් ප්‍රතිපත්ති සහ දරිද්‍රතාවයේ මූලයන් අපි ඉගෙන ගත්තෙමු. "රට පාලනය කරන, සම්පත් සූරාකන, ජනතාවගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් උල්ලංඝනය කරන බල ව්‍යුහයන් අපි ඉගෙන ගත්තා. ඒ වගේම අපි තේරුම් ගත්තා,,, දුප්පත් සහ අවදානමට ලක්විය හැකි ජනතාව ඔවුන්ගේ විමුක්තිය වෙනුවෙන් එක්සත් කළ යුත්තේ ඇයි කියලා. ජනවාර්ගික, ආගමික, භාෂා විවිධත්වය නොසලකා පීඩිත ජනතාවගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් වෙනුවෙන් අප සටන් කළ යුතුයි" යනුවෙනි...

NAFSO youth cleaned Kudapaduwa beach |නැෆ්සෝ තරුණයන් කුඩාපාඩුව වෙරළ තීරය පිරිසිදු කරයි |கொட்டாபடுவ கடற்கரையை சுத்தம் செய்யும் NAFSO இளைஞர்கள்

 

Youth Movement for Environmental and Social Change (YMESOC), organized a beach cleaning program on the International Youth Day, at Kudapaduwa beach on the 12th August, 2024.

Youth coming from 17 districts attended the beach cleaning program and convened a media briefing at Kudapaduwa beach.

Laksara Samarathunga, the coordinator of Dakshina Lanka Organization  and a youth leader spoke to the media and said, "We are the youth here to build the world for a decent life for all. This is the token activity to visualize our commitment to build our future. We urge all people to collaborate with us and join hands of this process.

Shehan Yenuka the chairperson of YMESOC said, "Bringing Youth representing from all the communities is a victory of YMESOC. I am happy we all united as onebody to build our nation. This is one of the most strongest Youth movement in the country to bring youth's aspirations forward."

ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගීතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ (නැෆ්සෝ) 'පරිසරය සහ යහපත් සමාජ

වෙනසක් වන තරුණ ව්‍යාපාරය (YMESOC) විසින් ජාත්‍යන්තර තරුණ දිනය වෙනුවෙන් සංවිධානය කරන ලද වෙරළ පිරිසිදු කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන 2024 අගෝස්තු මස 12වන දින කුඩාපාඩුව වෙරළ තීරයේ දී පැවැත්විණි.

මෙහි දිස්ත්‍රික්ක 17ක සිට පැමිණි තරුණ තරුණියන් වෙරළ පිරිසිදු කිරීමේ කාර්‍ය අවසන් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව කුඩාපාඩුව වෙරළ තීරයේදී මාධ්‍ය හමුවක් ද කැඳවා තිබුණි.

මෙහිදී, දක්ෂිණ ලංකා සංවිධානයේ සම්බන්ධීකාරක සහ තරුණ නායකයෙකු වන ලක්සර සමරතුංග මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් කියා සිටියේ "අපි මෙහි සිටින තරුණයෝ, සියලු දෙනාම යහපත් ජීවිතයක් වෙනුවෙන් ලෝකය ගොඩනැගීම සඳහා එක් වී ඇති බවයි. මෙය අපගේ අනාගතය ගොඩනැගීම සඳහා, අපේ කැපවීම ද්රුශ්‍යමාන කිරීම වෙනුවෙන් කල සංකේතීය ක්‍රියාකාරකමක් වේ. අප සමඟ සහයෝගයෙන් කටයුතු කරන ලෙසත්, මෙම ක්‍රියාවලිය සමග අත්වැල් බැඳ ගන්නා ලෙසත් අපි සියලු ජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටිමු" යනුවෙනුයි...

වයි.එම්.ඊ.එස්.ඕ.සී. සභාපති ෂෙහාන් යෙනුක පවසන ලද්දේ "සියලු ජනවර්ග නියෝජනය කරන තරුණ තරුණියන් ඒකරාශී කිරීමට ලැබීම  වයිඑම්ඊඑස්ඕසී හි ජයග්‍රහණයක්. මට සතුටුයි අපේ ජාතිය ගොඩනැගීමට එකාවන්ව කටයුතු කිරීමට ලැබීම ගැන. තරුණ අභිලාෂයන් ඉදිරියට ගෙන ඒම සඳහා මෙරට ඇති ශක්තිමත්ම තරුණ ව්‍යාපාරය මෙයයි." යනුවෙනි...

சுற்றுச்சூழல் மற்றும் சமூக மாற்றத்திற்கான இளைஞர் இயக்கம் (YMESOC), சர்வதேச இளைஞர் தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு 2024 ஆகஸ்ட் 12 ஆம் திகதி குடபதுவ கடற்கரையில் கடற்கரையை சுத்தம் செய்யும் திட்டத்தை ஏற்பாடு செய்தது.

17 மாவட்டங்களைச் சேர்ந்த இளைஞர்கள் கடற்கரை தூய்மைப்படுத்தும் நிகழ்ச்சித்திட்டத்தில் கலந்து கொண்டு குடபுவ கடற்கரையில் ஊடகவியலாளர் சந்திப்பை நடத்தினர்.

தட்சிணா லங்கா அமைப்பின் இணைப்பாளரும் இளைஞர் தலைவருமான லக்சர சமரதுங்க ஊடகங்களிடம் பேசுகையில், "அனைவருக்கும் ஒழுக்கமான வாழ்க்கைக்காக உலகைக் கட்டியெழுப்ப நாங்கள் இங்குள்ள இளைஞர்கள். இது நமது எதிர்காலத்தை கட்டியெழுப்புவதற்கான நமது அர்ப்பணிப்பை காட்சிப்படுத்துவதற்கான அடையாள நடவடிக்கையாகும். இந்த செயல்முறையில் எங்களுடன் ஒத்துழைக்கவும் கைகோர்க்கவும் அனைத்து மக்களையும் நாங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.

YMESOC இன் தலைவர் ஷெஹான் யெனுகா கூறுகையில், "அனைத்து சமூகங்களிலிருந்தும் இளைஞர்களை பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்துவது YMESOC இன் வெற்றியாகும். நமது தேசத்தைக் கட்டமைக்க நாம் அனைவரும் ஒன்றுபட்டிருப்பது குறித்து நான் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறேன். இளைஞர்களின் அபிலாஷைகளை முன்னோக்கி கொண்டு வருவதற்கான நாட்டின் மிக வலுவான இளைஞர் இயக்கங்களில் இதுவும் ஒன்றாகும்.
