Miridiya Organization, Polonnaruwa celebrated youth and children's gathering with 750 participants. The sports, singing, dancing, and many events conducted facilitating space to participate to all children, youth and adults attended.
Manoj Silva, the Coordinator of the Miridiya Org Polonnaruwa Sri Lanka explained their vision for future of the work through these activities, "It is our aim to build capacities and formation of leadership qualities of children and youth based on the love, care and respect others identities and Cultural values, ensure human dignity through regular awareness raising programs, conducting campaigns, interactive activities among various ethnic, religious communities as these youth are the future citizens of the country. We build them from the early stages which will help to build strong people base."
Kamani Priyadarshanie, the activist of the Organization requested support to strengthen the Youth Movement for Environmental and Social Change and children program, "We are conducting the animation work of the youth with much difficulty. At the moment we have around 650 children and 400 youth in various communities we work within the Divisional Secretariat areas and most of the time we spend to attend weekly or monthly meetings. We need human resources as well as capital to mobilize the youth and sustain the groups. We expect support from NAFSO Sri Lanka to strengthen our youth groups through animation program."

නැෆ්සෝ ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංවිධානයේ සහයෝගය ඇතිව පොළොන්නරුව මිරිදිය තරුණ සංවිධානය විසින් 750ක පමණ ළමා හා තරුණ පිරිසකගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් ක්‍රීඩා, නර්තන හා ගායනය ආදී ක්‍රියාකාරකම් ඇතුළත් වන පරිදි වැඩසටහනක් පවත්වන ලදී. පොළොන්නරුව මිරිදිය සංවිධානයේ සම්බන්ධීකාරක මනෝජ් සිල්වා මහතා මෙහි ඉදිරි දැක්ම පිළිබඳව පැහැදිළි කරමින් කියා සිටියේ, මෙමගින් අනෙකාට ආදරය, ගෞරවය, සැළකිල්ල දක්වමින් අනෙකාගේ සංස්ක්ෘතික වටිනාකම් හා අනන්‍යතාවයන්ට ගරුකිරීම මත පදනම්ව දරුවන්ගේ හා තරුණයන්ගේ හැකියාවන් සහ අනාගත නායකත්ව ගුණාංගයන් ගොඩනැගීම මොවුන්ගේ අරමුණ වී ඇති බවයි. තවද, මෙම දරුවන් රටේ අනාගත පුරවැසියන් වන බැවින් විවිධ ආගමික හා ජනවාර්ගික ප්‍රජාවන් අතර නිරන්තර දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන්, ප්‍රචාරණ කටයුතු හා අන්තර් ක්‍රියාකාරකම් තුළින් මානව ගරුත්වය වර්ධනය කිරීමට මොවුන්ව ශක්තිමත් ලෙස ගොඩනැගීම මොවුන්ගේ දීර්ඝකාලීන අරමුණු වීඇති බවයි.
මෙහි ක්‍රියාකාරිණී කමනි ප්‍රියදර්ණී මහත්මිය පවසන ලද්දේ පාරිසරික හා සමාජීය වෙනසක් සඳහා වූ තරුණ ව්‍යාපාරය සහ ළමා වැඩසටහන ශක්තිමත් කිරීමට නැෆ්සෝ ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංවිධානයෙන් තවදුරටත් සහයෝගය අපේක්ෂා කරන බවයි.
පොළොන්නරුව මිරිදිය සංවිධානයේ මෙම ප්‍රයත්නයට නැෆ්සෝ සංවිධානය විසින් සුබපැතුම් එක්කරන ලද අතර ඔවුන් හට දිගින් දිගටම සහයෝගය දැක්වීමට ඇති හැකියාව පිලිබඳව ගවේෂණයක නිරත වී සිටින බව පැවසීය.
