National Fisher Women Federation of NAFSO concluded with great success. The women who attended the two day session determined to engage the campaign against new fisheries act-2023, break the silence on socio- economic, environmental issues faced by women, and work along the Road Map prepared by the district groups and collective effort nationally.
Reeta Sinnathamby of Mannar as the new Chairperson and Chandrika Manel as the Secretary were unanimously selected as the new office bearers and others to continue the executive committee.
පෙබරවාරි 08 සහ 09 යන දෙදින තුළ නැෆ්සෝ ආයතන පරිශ්‍රයේදී ජාතික කාන්තා ධීවර සමුළුව අතිසාර්ථක අන්දමින් පවත්වන්න යෙදුනි.
මේ සඳහා සහභාගී වූ කාන්තාවන් 2023 නව ධීවර පනතට එරෙහිව ක්‍රියාකිරීමටත්, කාන්තාවන් වශයෙන් ඔවුන් මුහුණ දෙන සාමාජීය ආර්ථික හා පාරිසරික ගැටළුවලට තව දුරටත් නිහඬ නොවී සිටීමටත් ඔවුන් මෙහිදී අධිෂ්ටාන කරගත්හ. තවද දිස්ත්‍රික්ක කණ්ඩායම් විසින් සකස් කරන ලද ඉදිරි දිශානතිය පිළිබඳ සැළැස්ම ඔස්සේ ජාතික වශයෙන් සාමූහිකව ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමටත් මොවුන් තීරණය කළහ.
මෙහිදී, විධායක කමිටු නිළධාරීන් ලෙස මන්නාරම් දිස්ත්‍රික්කය නියෝජනය කරන රීටා සින්නතම්ම්බි මහත්මිය නව සභාපතිවරිය ලෙසත් මානෙල් චන්ද්‍රිකා මහත්මිය නව ලේකම්වරිය ලෙසත් ඒකමතිකව තෝරා පත්කර ගන්නා ලදී.
