NAFSO Sri Lanka convener, Mr. Herman Kumara says, International surveys have revealed that 410,000 children and women between the ages of 15 and 29 are suffering from hunger in this country and this is second only to India.
Further, he says that the proposed Fisheries Act is intending to keep the fishermen away from the industry and collapse the local industries of this country and will put more pressure on the people engaged in small industries.
