An interactive discussion was held with the members of Praja Sakthi
Women Forum of Ponnilawa and Dematagala , Kurunegala on Thursday 9th
March 2022. It was a evaluation session of their growth based on the strengths,
Weaknesses, commitment and their performance since the start of these
independent group in 2019. Steps taken
by these women in their efforts in Organic farming and Saving activities were also discussed.
Mr.Priyankara Costa of National Fisheries Solidarity led the discussions on how
to build an independent (domestic)economy and the need of a common fund to help
the group in their needs was highlighted.
As further engagement they proposed 02 projects to be carried out.
Ponnilawa Women group agreed to provide Dry Rations to 15 Elders and the
Dematagala Women group to offer educational scholarships to 03 students. To
raise funds the group agreed to print and sell 2000 Book Marks. Mrs.Laveena
Hasanthi of NAFSO also spoke of the
necessity and importance of getting these groups involved in the National Level
Women forums. She appreciated the efforts of Mr.Sanjeewa Sampath, the district
Coordinator of Kurunegala who has taken much trouble to initiate, build and
sustain these groups. These two day workshops were organized by the Kurunegala
District Coordinator , Mr.Sampath Sanjeewa.
ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ ක්‍රියාකාරි දිස්ත්‍රික් සංවිධානයක් වන කුරුණෑගල, ප්‍රජා ශක්ති සහයෝගිතා සන්සදයේ පොන්නිලව හා දෙමටගල කාන්තා කණ්ඩායම් දෙක සමඟ සාකච්ඡාවක් 2022 මාර්තු මස 09 වන බ්‍රහස්පතින්දා දින සිදු කරන ලදී. ප්‍රජා අභිලාෂ ජාලය හරහා සංවිධානය වු මෙම සාකච්ඡාවේදී 2019 වර්ෂයේ ස්වාධීනව ආරම්භ වු මෙම කාන්තා කණ්ඩායම් දෙකේ ශක්තින්, ප්‍රබලතා, දුබලතා, කැපවීම, ක්‍රියාකාරිත්වය සහ 2019 වර්ෂයේ සිට මේ දක්වා ඔවුන් පැමිණ ගමන් මඟ පිළිබඳව යම් හැරී බැලීමක් සිදු කරන ලදී. කාන්තාවන්ගේ ඉතිරි කිරීම් පිළිබඳව හා කාබනික ගෙවතු වගා සම්බන්ධයෙන් මෙහිදි සාකච්ඡා කරන ලදී. කාන්තාවන් වශයෙන් ඔවුන්ට ස්වාධීනව ආර්ථික ශක්තියක් නිර්මාණය කර ගන්නේ කෙසේ ද යන්න සම්බන්ධයෙන් හා ඔවුන්ට අවශ්‍ය පොදු අරමුදලක් සම්පාදනය කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ද ප්‍රියංකර කොස්තා මහතා සාකච්ඡා කරන ලදී.
අරමුදල් ගොඩනැගීමේදී ඔවුන් විසින් ව්‍යාපෘති 02 යෝජනා කරන ලදී. පොන්නිලව කාන්තා කණ්ඩායම විසින් වැඩිහියන් 15 වෙත වියළි සලාක ලබා දීමත් දෙමටල කාන්තා කකණ්ඩායම විසින් ශිෂ්‍යාවන් 03 ශිෂ්‍යත්ව ලබා දීමත්ය. මේ සඳහා අරමුදල් සම්පාදනයට බුක් මාර්ක් (BOOK MARK) 2000 මුද්‍රණයට ඔවුන් විසින් කැමැත්ත පළ කරන ලදී. ජාතික කාන්තා කටයුතු සඳහා මෙම කාන්තා කණ්ඩායම්වල කාන්තාවන්ගේ දායකත්වය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ද ජාතික කාන්තා ක්‍රියාකාරිත්වය සබන්ධයෙන් ද ලවිනා හසන්ති මහත්මිය සාකච්ඡා කරන ලදී. විශේෂයෙන් කුරුණෑගල දිස්ත්‍රික් සම්බන්ධිකාරක සම්පත් සංජිව මහතාගේ දහදිය මහන්සියෙන් ස්වාධීනව නිර්මාණය කළ කාන්තා කණ්ඩායම් දෙක අද වන විට විශාල ප්‍රගතියක් අත්පත් කොට ගෙන ඇත මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා කුරණෑගල දිස්ත්‍රික් සම්බන්ධීකාරක සම්පත් සංජීව මහතා ද ස්බන්ධ වූහ.
