“We are trying our best to apply our learning and conduct follow ups as an organization all the time.

It is a pleasure to keep a note of some success of the
work conducted by YMESOC in early July. The participants have begun to apply
their learning at the ecological agriculture program conducted by YMESOC at
Blue Green Garden at Neela Bamma. Tharindu
Wasana, (21 Years) participant of the work shop and active member of youth
group of Pahala Athuraliya village, which is a member group of Southern
Fisheries Organization at Matara has begun to apply the learning of
ecological agriculture
program.

Sahan Isanka, field
Coordinator of Southern Fisheries Organization who facilitated to send Tharindu
to the WS told me, “We are trying our best to apply our learning and conduct
follow ups as an organization all the time. So we select the right person to
send the programs. That is why we learn first what the participants learned at
the workshop and we facilitate to trickle down the learning to other youth
members of our organization. There another 15 youth will attend the home garden
program though we need some theoretical knowledge for them.” We want to be the
best facilitated organization and expect to receive the best facilitated
organizational award at the World Fisheries Day which will be held at Matara
this year. Added Sahan with much hope of the success.

We congratulate to Matara
youth and the organizational team for their commitment for the work.
