A workshop for establishing women federation
A workshop for establishing women
federation for Northern Province was held on 15th September 2019
with the participation of 45 women of Northern Province.
The first session of this
workshop was increasing the knowledge and the understanding of National Fisheries
Solidarity Movement. The second session was on how to continue the work of women’s
federations through district committees. The third session was conducted on the
need of a women’s federation and the benefits of such federation.
Another session was conducted on
the policy framework developed by the women ministry of the Northern Province and
how to continue such policies at filed level.
The workshop was held using small
group discussions and using practical methods. The resources person for the workshop
was Mr.Anthoney Jesudasan and assisted by Mrs. Laveena Hasanthi, Mr. Ibanayagam, Mis.Dakshayani
, Miss. Akila, Mr. Bendic Croos, Mrs.Priyanthi, Mr.Sadeesh, Mis.Jayarani, Mrs.Amalajeewane, Mr.Wasikaran, Mrs. Sugatha and Miss.Gopika.
